Hundreds of thousands in big rallies around Yemen

Sanaa- 17 protestors were killed and hundreds were injured in Taiz on Monday due to fire opening by military forces and police on march calling for the ouster of president Saleh and protesting on previous attacks against peaceful protesters by security forces.

Republican Guards Forces, US-backed unit, gathered at the Taiz Gov headquarters fired live bullets over innocent protestors during a rally of dozens of thousands that started from Taiz university squire, eyewitnesses said.

» Separately, at least 2 civilians were killed and dozens injured in Hodeida province following live bullets firing by security forces and pro-government thugs on a similar demonstration demanding fall of president Salehs regime.

« Dozens of thousands protested Monday evening in Sanaa in two big rallies went round a number of streets heading for the Altaghyir squire, to confirm demanding regime toppling and to protest
against the violence they subjected to.

» For this end, tens of thousands rallied in around several cities of Yemen, including Mukalla city of Hadramout, Ibb, Sadaa, Thamar, Aden, Aldhalia and Albaida.

« The regime mercenaries accompanied by republican guards in Sanaa opened fire on hundreds of rallying people on Monday morning at Zubairy steet from inside military camp, attacking them with stones and knives, resulted in several injuries including three arrested.

Last Sunday, security forces violently attacked a student rally in Taiz, resulted in more than one thousand protestors injuries due to live bullets and what was described as nerve affecting gases.

» About 400 people were injured last Sunday following security forces and mercenaries firing of live bullets on a peaceful rally headed for the provincial headquarters to condemn the crimes committed by the ruling system on Sunday.

« Much than Every day, tens of thousands of advocates of youth revolution came to sit-ins squires Monday in all of Sana » a, Taiz and other cities, condemning the regime violence against sit-in participators in Taiz and Hodieda. The tribes of Alhaima as well as tribe of Bani Jula joined the Sanaa Altagheer squire, chanting pro-regime slogans. Several military officials who declared condemning the crimes committed against the nation, adopted a biased attitude towards the Yemeni people, also joined the squire.

This comes while several hundreds of thousands of sit-in participators are still camping in 15 provinces, insisting on not letting their places till the regime departs.

At least 120 civilians killed since the beginning of Yemeni uprising more than two months ago.
